Up, up and away!
This past week two pieces where installed and some mighty weaving took place. We begin to see the fruits of our labor which started in mid September. There have been shrieks of joy and much laughter witnessing our “mini zeitgeist of yarn” come together. …and there's more »

The last two weeks since our last formal meeting at the Center for the Arts have been filled with planning for installations. Collaborative work on Sports Authority Elk and more…
Six 4th grade girls are collaborating with some folks at the Living Center on creating a look for the elk in the Sports Authority parking lot. Thursday, the students shared their ideas on what might be created to adorn the statue. …and there's more »
Great Balls of Yarn!
Well, Nick Wilson couldn’t stand it any more watching the elk across the way dressed for hunting season. Several days ago, Nick appeared sporting a bright orange vest, apparently inspired by his ungulate friend across the road. He looks dashing thanks to Jana’s artistry. …and there's more »
New Venue/New Faces
This week The Knitting Project moved to its second half location, the conference room at the Center for the Arts. We will meet there for the next month on Sundays October 28, November 4, 11, and 18 from 2-4pm. …and there's more »
Gathering Knitting Stitches!
The Tuesday gatherings at the Senior Center drew to a close this week with the first half of the knitting sessions. Folks from River Rock Assisted Living came, as well as some new faces.

And The Knitting Begins!
This week I participated in a knitting session at Jackson’s River Rock Assisted Living where we explored knitting and variations on conventional knitting using finger knitting and a small invented loom. We all laughed as stories were passed around and some new creative variations were made.
