This week The Knitting Project moved to its second half location, the conference room at the Center for the Arts. We will meet there for the next month on Sundays October 28, November 4, 11, and 18 from 2-4pm.
I gave a short introduction to the project with lots of images to spark the creativity of those in attendance. It was a great and lively time.
Hi Susan – I have not been able to attend any of your meetings, but heard about your project through the newspaper write-up, and from Knit on Pearl. I don’t know which sculptures are available for yarn-bombing, but I had an idea for one.
You know the steel circles on the village road that make a buffalo? I’d love to put a giant doily into the middle of the thing. Your thoughts?
Thanks, -Janie
Hi Jane,
Thanks for your interest in the project and the bison in particular. There is already a “plan” for that bison in the works involving filling in the big center circle. Several people are knitting for that design. Maybe another time a big doily would be really fun! Would you be interested working on another in progress idea or hatch an idea for something not in progress? We’ll be meeting tomorrow, Sunday from 2-4pm at the Center for the Arts conference room. If that doesn’t work for you let’s find a time to talk. Thanks for the message, Suzanne
Suzanne, I am back in town for a bit and am planning on coming to the Center for the Arts on Sunday. Do I need to bring any supplies? thanks, Polly
Hi Polly,
Glad you back and will be coming Sunday. No need to bring anything, I can update you on the projects in progress that you can join or you can cook up something new! Looking forward to seeing you, Suzanne
